Diego Moreno and Ernesto Gonzalez provided fans with a highlight when they connected against Montgomery. The longest such play in Imperial Valley this season, the connection resulted in 84 yards.
Adding to the longest winning streak in the league this week, Imperial beat Mater Dei Catholic 48-21,. The victory was the fourth in a row for the Tigers.
Calexico's dynamic duo of Moreno and Gonzalez proved to be unstoppable against the Aztecs, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Moreno threw for 106 yards and 2 touchdowns and Gonzalez had 84 yards receiving.

Royce Freeman was the most successful running back in the league this week. In 25 carries, he ran for 256 yards as Imperial beat Ted Jarumayan's team. Chris Carter also contributed to the rushing game with 211 yards on the ground.
Carter was a passing and rushing force as Kerry Legarra's team topped the Crusaders. Carter's key target this week was Austyn Smith, who caught 3 passes for 43 yards.
Moreno put up the best numbers through the air as Allen Heck's team beat the Aztecs.
Gonzalez was the best receiver in Imperial Valley this week as the Bulldogs beat Montgomery.
Freeman was a beast in the backfield as the Tigers defeated Mater Dei Catholic.
Imperial's offense cannot be tamed this season and the Tigers feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Carter has thrown for 275 yards and 2 touchdowns this season, while DaJon Staton has 16 catches for 160 yards.
Calexico scaled the state rankings by moving to 512 from 549 this week, the biggest jump in the league. The Bulldogs climbed the ranks as a result of beating the Aztecs 35-25.
