The Fox Tech Buffaloes have not won a game since January 13th, a trend which continued on Friday. Neither they nor Gonzales could gain the upper hand so the two teams had to settle for a 4-4 draw. The result (or lack thereof) marked Fox Tech's first draw of the season.
They avoided a loss thanks to
Marcos Villarreal and
Asa Menjivar, who posted all four of Fox Tech's goals. The pair have combined for a total of 16 so far this season.
Fox Tech's draw gives them a new season record of 6-7-1. Meanwhile, Gonzales' record is now 6-8-1.
Fox Tech will head out on the road to take on John F. Kennedy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Gonzales, they will be playing in front of their home fans against La Vernia at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Gonzales will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 592nd, while La Vernia is ranked 182nd).
