The McDonough Warhawks lost against the Pace Academy Knights back in January of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. McDonough took a hard 56-42 fall against Pace Academy. McDonough has not had much luck with Pace Academy recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Despite the loss, McDonough had strong showings from Janique Trinidad, who scored 19 points, and Zora Hill, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 13 rebounds.
McDonough's loss dropped their record down to 8-12. As for Pace Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season.
McDonough will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Lovett at 6:00 p.m. Lovett is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. As for Pace Academy, they will head out on the road to square off against Hampton at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hampton is out to stop a three-game streak of losses at home.
