When it comes to explaining why Concord Christian lost, one person who can't be blamed is Drew Sloan. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double on 14 points and 11 rebounds. Sloan scored a full 25.9% of Concord Christian's points, the fourth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Dominic Alford was another key contributor, scoring 10 points along with 5 assists.
Boyd-Buchanan is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season. As for Concord Christian, they now have a losing record at 3-4.
Boyd-Buchanan will look to defend their home court on Monday against Howard Tech at 6:00 p.m. As for Concord Christian, they will head out on the road to face off against Grace Christian Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Grace Christian Academy knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past five games -- so hopefully Concord Christian likes a good challenge.
