After flying high against the West Point Pointers last Thursday, the King William Cavaliers came back down to earth. King William was dealt a 99-66 loss at the hands of Carver College and Career Academy on Thursday. King William was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 53-26.
Carver College and Career Academy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Camron Paul, who scored 31 points along with six assists and five rebounds. Paul is absolutely dominating the steal category: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Tyson Marsh, who dropped a double-double on 22 points and 18 rebounds.
King William's loss dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Carver College and Career Academy, they pushed their record up to 9-1 with that victory, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. King William will take on Middlesex at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Middlesex is coming into the game hot, having won their last three games. As for Carver College and Career Academy, they will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against West Point at 7:00 p.m.
