Blue Ridge came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against Mountain View, falling 13-3. The defeat continues a trend for the Raiders in their meetings with the Eagles: they've now lost three in a row.
Meanwhile, Elk Lake waltzed into their matchup on Tuesday with seven straight wins... but they left with eight. They never let the Foresters get on the board and left with a 12-0 win. The Warriors might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven games by ten runs or more this season.
Braydon McMicken made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out six over five innings pitched. McMicken was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one home run, two RBI, and one double.
In other batting news, Elk Lake got a massive performance out of Logan Ayotte, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Brayden Miller, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

Elk Lake's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-1. Those road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Blue Ridge, their loss dropped their record down to 1-7.
Blue Ridge suffered a grim 14-0 defeat to Elk Lake in their previous meeting on April 2nd. Will the Raiders have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check back here after the action for a full breakdown and analysis of the contest.
