St. Catherine is 8-1 against St. Margaret since January of 2015, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. St. Margaret's enjoyed a cozy 72-55 victory over Fredericksburg Christian. St. Margaret's pushed the score to 58-33 by the end of the third, a deficit Fredericksburg Christian cut but never quite recovered from.
St. Margaret's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ilona Syzdek, who scored 17 points. Syzdek continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Jade Wright, who scored 17 points.
St. Catherine's defeat dropped their record down to 9-9. As for St. Margaret's, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a massive bump to their 13-12 record this season.
St. Catherine's came up short against St. Margaret's in their previous meeting two weeks ago, falling 48-44. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of St. Margaret's Brianna Bodden, who scored 20 points.
