Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a  season-high score is even better (just ask Washougal). They put the hurt on the Woodland Beavers with a sharp  14-4 victory on Monday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won  13-6  on Friday.
 Nash Neumann was  incredible,  getting on base  in all five of his plate appearances with four  runs, two  stolen bases,  and one  RBI. Those  two  stolen bases gave  him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was  Owen MacDonald, who  went 2-for-4 with one  stolen base, two  RBI,  and one  run.
 Washougal  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .581. That's the best  OBP they've posted all season.
Washougal's win  ended  a  four-game drought at home  and  bumped them up to 7-11. As for Woodland, they have  traveled a rocky road recently, having  lost nine of their last ten games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-13 record  this season.
 We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Washougal is set to  take on  their familiar foe Hockinson  at 4:30  p.m.  on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Woodland will  face off against  rival Ridgefield  at 4:30  p.m.  on Wednesday.
