The Chandler Park Academy Eagles will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against the Mt. Clemens Battling Bathers at 5:30 p.m. on January 26th.
Last Friday, Chandler Park Academy ended up a good deal behind Lincoln-King Academy and lost 50-33.
Meanwhile, Mt. Clemens stacked a fourth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Wednesday. They beat Detroit Community by the very same score they won with last week: 45-15. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win Mt. Clemens has posted since December 11, 2023.
A'Laia Richardson was her usual excellent self, scoring 19 points along with five rebounds and four steals. Le'ila Sears was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on ten points and 11 rebounds.
Chandler Park Academy's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 7-5. As for Mt. Clemens, they pushed their record up to 8-4 with that win, which was their third straight at home.
Chandler Park Academy didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Mt. Clemens in their previous meeting back in February of 2023, but they still walked away with a 37-32 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Chandler Park Academy since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
