R.W. Goines Stem Academy lost a heartbreaker when they last took the court, but unfortunately for them the defeat they were handed on on Friday was a bit more commanding. They were beaten by Dynamic Prep 87-36. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points R.W. Goines Stem Academy has scored all season.
Dynamic Prep's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Leroy Kelly IV led the charge by scoring 23 points along with six rebounds and three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Kelly IV has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Jaden Toombs, who scored 19 points along with eight rebounds and five assists.
R.W. Goines Stem Academy has not been sharp recently as the team's lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 17-10 record this season. As for Dynamic Prep, the win was the tenth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 17-1.
Coincidentally, the pair will both be playing iSchool of Lewisville the next time they take the court. R.W. Goines Stem Academy will head out to face iSchool of Lewisville at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, while Dynamic Prep will host them at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
