The Liberty Eagles won the last time they faced the Warren County Wildcats, and things went their way on Friday too. Liberty rang in the new year with a 65-52 victory over Warren County. The win made it back-to-back wins for Liberty.
Despite the loss, Warren County still got an impressive performance from Jadyn Jeffries, who scored 19 points along with five rebounds. That's the first time this season that Jeffries scored 15 or more points. The team also got some help courtesy of Bryce Bergmann, who scored 15 points.
Liberty's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-5. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.0 points per game. As for Warren County, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-12.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Liberty will stay at home for another game and welcome Handley at 7:30 p.m. on January 12th. Handley is coming into the contest hot, having won their last three games. As for Warren County, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Brentsville District at 7:30 p.m.
