Softball Recap: Trico Wins Going Away Against Woodlawn

Trico barely beat Woodlawn the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Pioneers blew past the Cardinals 10-0 on Wednesday. The Pioneers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight matches by seven runs or more this season.

Trico got a great performance from Zoe Bennett as she didn't allow a single earned run over six innings pitched.

At the plate, Whitney Lovel was a standout: she went 3-for-4 with three runs, one triple, and one stolen base. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April. Jayci Casten was another key player, going 2-for-3 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run.

Trico was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .407. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Woodlawn only posted a batting average of .211.

Trico moved to 13-13 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak. As for Woodlawn, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-15.

As of now, neither Trico nor the Cardinals have any future games scheduled.
