A Season-Best Performance from Tojuan Peyton Jr. Leads Lanier over Johns Creek
Lanier was led to victory by Tojuan Peyton Jr., who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Peyton Jr. rushed for 283 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 12.9 yards per carry, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. His longest rush was for an incredible 85 yards.
This season, Peyton Jr. has averaged 22.2 receiving yards per game. That doesn't tell the whole story though: at this point last year, he had five rushing touchdowns. This year he is already up to 13.

Trey Smith's big game helped extend Roswell's winning streak to four on Friday. Chattahoochee had no answer to Smith as he threw for 286 yards and three touchdowns while completing 87.5% of his passes, and also rushed for 50 yards and two touchdowns.
Roswell pushed their record up to 6-1 with the win, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season. Smith's next contest is against Lanier on Friday, where he'll look to repeat that solid effort.

Milton Wins 18th-Straight Thanks to TJ Lester
TJ Lester was instrumental in extending Milton's winning streak to 18 on Friday. Lester was excellent, rushing for 143 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 7.5 yards per carry. The performance once again pushed his average rushing yardage north of 100 yards per game (102.6). He has been hot recently, having posted two or more rushing touchdowns the last four times he's played.
Milton pushed their record up to 8-0 with the win, which was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season. Lester and Milton will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Johns Creek at 7:30 p.m. on October 25th.

Luke Nickel's big game helped extend Milton's winning streak to 18 on Friday. Gainesville had no answer to Nickel as he threw for 286 yards and three touchdowns, and also rushed for 32 yards. That's the most rushing yards Nickel has posted since back in December of 2023.
For the season, Nickel has thrown 19 touchdowns while averaging 230.2 passing yards per game.

Nick Peal Makes It Two for Roswell
The second Roswell player making an appearance here is Nick Peal, and for good reason. He wasn't messing around on Friday, making two total tackles (1.0 for loss). The contest was his third straight with two or more rushing touchdowns. He showed off some serious burst, cutting through the defense on one rush that went for 58 yards.
If history really does repeat itself, Peal might just drop another big game when he faces off against Lanier on Friday. When Peal last faced the Longhorns back in November of 2023, he made seven total tackles (3.0 for loss) and defended two passes.
