The Salt Fork Storm had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 26.5 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They took their match at home with ease, bagging a 47-19 victory over Clifton Central. The result was nothing new for Salt Fork, who have now won five games by 27 points or more so far this season.
Despite the loss, Clifton Central had strong showings from Aidan Podowicz, who threw for 193 yards and two touchdowns, and Maddex Miner, who picked up 114 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Salt Fork's win was their third straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 6-2. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 34.3 points per game. As for Clifton Central, their loss dropped their record down to 4-4.
Salt Fork will be playing in front of their home fans against West Central co-op [Winchester-Bluffs] at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Clifton Central does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
