The Bradford Red Devils will face off against the Milan Bulldogs at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Bradford 4, Milan 1.9) so any runs scored will be well earned.
Bradford took a loss when they played away from home on Monday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand Jackson North Side a 17-0 shutout. With that win, the Red Devils brought their scoring average up to 8 runs per game.

Cara Copous made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out 13 over five innings pitched. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 6.2 strikeouts per game. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with three stolen bases and two runs.
In other batting news, Rylee Jorgensen was a standout: she went 1-for-3 with three stolen bases, three RBI, and one run. Another player making a difference was Leah Page, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with four stolen bases and three runs.
Bradford always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .562. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Jackson North Side only posted an OBP of .125.
Meanwhile, Milan fell victim to Gibson County and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Pioneers by a score of 2-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Bulldogs have suffered since April 28, 2025.
Mia Pearson spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered two runs (both of which were unearned) on five hits and racked up nine Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up a single earned run in three consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Milan saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Maycee Masters, who went 1-for-3 with one double. That double was Masters' first of the season.
The victory got Bradford back to even at 2-2. As for Milan, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 6-3-1.
Thursday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Bradford hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .315. However, it's not like Milan struggles in that department as they've averaged .316. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Bradford suffered a grim 15-0 defeat to Milan in their previous meeting back in March of 2025. Will the Red Devils have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check back here after the action for a full breakdown and analysis of the contest.
