It was another big night for Tacoya Heyward, who almost dropped a triple-double on 22 points, nine assists, and nine steals. Heyward is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Ja'laina Mosley, who scored 13 points along with eight rebounds and two steals.
Despite the loss, James Island still got an impressive performance from Andrea Duncan, who scored 29 points along with eight rebounds and three steals. That was a full 58% of James Island's points, marking the fifth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Alaina Graf was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with five rebounds.
Bluffton's victory was their 16th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 15-1. As for James Island, their defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 13-4.
