The Elkhorn Antlers stacked a fourth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Plattsmouth 70-42 at home. Given Elkhorn's advantage in MaxPreps' Nebraska basketball rankings (they are ranked sixth, while Plattsmouth is ranked 157th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Leading Elkhorn to victory were Nixon Farmer and Cole Petersen. Farmer scored 23 points along with six rebounds, while Petersen scored 14 points along with nine blocks and six rebounds. Petersen also grabbed two+ steals for the first time this season. Colin Comstock was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with two steals.
Several Blue Devils players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Gage Olsen, who scored 14 points. Another player making a difference was Traceson Skalberg, who scored nine points along with two steals.
Elkhorn's win was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 8-1. As for Plattsmouth, their loss dropped their record down to 3-10.

Boys Town is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 57.4 points per game. Plattsmouth will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Malcolm at 6:00 p.m. on January 22nd.
