Chapin has enjoyed a three-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will take on the Jefferson Silver Foxes at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Chapin is not getting complacent, as they presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Jefferson in Texas (Chapin is ranked 42nd, while Jefferson is ranked 1427th).
Chapin can now show off 22 landslide victories after their most recent match on Tuesday. They breezed by Andress at home to the tune of 58-28.
Meanwhile, Jefferson's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their tenth straight loss. They received a tough blow as they fell 62-48 to Burges.
The losing side was boosted by Nathan Pieri, who scored 20 points along with six rebounds and five steals. Another player making a difference was Leo Hernandez, who scored 13 points along with seven assists and six rebounds.
Chapin pushed their record up to 28-4 with that victory, which was their 21st straight at home dating back to last season. They've been dominating during the matches in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 33.1 points. As for Jefferson, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 20 of their last 21 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-25 record this season.
Everything came up roses for Chapin against Jefferson in their previous meeting back in January as the team secured a 55-24 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Chapin since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
