The Rock Hill Redmen suffered their biggest loss since December 7, 2023 on Thursday. They had to suffer through a rough 72-29 loss at the hands of Fairland. While losing is never fun, Rock Hill can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 471st, while Fairland is ranked sixth).
Fairland was led to victory by Kamryn Barnitz and Bree Allen. Barnitz scored 16 points along with four steals, while Allen scored 18 points along with nine rebounds and four blocks. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Barnitz has scored all season. Bailey Russell was another key contributor, scoring 15 points.
Rock Hill bumped their record down to 5-11 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Fairland, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 14-1.
Rock Hill will head out on the road to square off against Eastern at 10:40 a.m. on Saturday. As for Fairland, they will square off against Goshen at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Goshen will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.
