After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Boys Town, the Brownell Talbot Raiders were happy to have found some success on Monday. They enjoyed a cozy 47-29 victory over Omaha Christian Academy. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Brownell Talbot also won the last time the pair played back in February of 2023.
Brownell Talbot's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Matt Schinzel, who scored 18 points along with five steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Ahaan Gulati, who scored six points along with 13 rebounds and five steals.
Brownell Talbot's win bumped their record up to 8-11. As for Omaha Christian Academy, their loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 7-9.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Brownell Talbot will take on Lourdes Central Catholic at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Brownell Talbot focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 12 on Monday. As for Omaha Christian Academy, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Mead at 7:30 p.m. Omaha Christian Academy will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Nebraska Rankings (they are ranked 247th, while Mead is ranked 84th).
