The Wilson Wildcats scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Saturday. They walked away with a 69-60 win over Patriot. Winning may never get old, but Wilson sure is getting used to it with their fourth in a row.
Wilson found their leader in underclassman Justin Kayode, who scored 37 points along with seven rebounds. That makes it 11 consecutive games in which Kayode has scored at least 25% of Wilson's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Tyler Wong, who scored eight points along with three steals.
Wilson is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 7-6 record this season. As for Patriot, their loss dropped their record down to 5-7.
Wilson will be playing in front of their home fans against Walnut at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Walnut focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 15 on Saturday. Patriot and Corona will face off at 7:00 p.m. on December 11th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Corona presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Patriot in California (Corona is ranked 171st, while Patriot is ranked 814th).
