Windham made the biggest leap in the national rankings this week, rising to 13,054 from 13,565. The advance stemmed from a 39-12 victory over Lutheran East last week.
Pymatuning Valley's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Mitchell Skleres threw for 45 yards and Nick Holt had 73 yards receiving. On the ground Quintin Ratliff chipped in 100 yards.
Ratliff was a passing and rushing force as the Lakers fell to Conneaut. He completed 5 passes for 34 yards and also ran for 100 yards. Ratliff's key target this week was Holt, who caught 6 passes for 73 yards.
Ratliff was the best running back in Northeastern Athletic this week. Teammate Wade Buckley added to the ground attack by rushing for 20 yards.
5-foot-10 quarterback Austin Casper of Chalker is the league leader in passing yards this season with 353. He has also thrown 4 touchdowns. The leading receiver in the league this season is Holt. The Pymatuning Valley star has 15 catches for 241 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Ledgemont takes on Mathews. At the moment, the Redskins are in fifth, while the Mustangs are in first.
The Bombers led the league in scoring this week after putting up 39 points on the Falcons.
