The Riverdale Cowboys lost against the Chowchilla Tribe back in January of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Riverdale was outmatched by the Tribe at home and fell 63-33. Riverdale has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Ryan Deatherage continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Chowchilla, scoring 31 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Deatherage has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Tristan Beardsley, who scored 14 points along with three steals.
Riverdale has traveled a rocky road recently having lost eight of their last ten contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-12 record this season. As for Chowchilla, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 16-10.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Riverdale will take on the Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Parlier has now lost 11 straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 19. As for Chowchilla, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against the Blue Raiders at 6:30 p.m.
