Grady extended the longest winning streak in AAAA Region 6B this week by beating Banneker, 52-26. The victory was the sixth in a row for the Knights.
Carver's offense was unstoppable this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Jordan Holden threw for 189 and 2 touchdowns and Jaquan Blakeney had 110 yards receiving. On the ground Quitin Gates contributed 100 yards. Gregory Payton helped Carver's passing attack out by catching 1 ball for 44 yards.
Blakeney was the best wideout in the league this week as the Panthers defeated South Atlanta. Blakeney tallied 2 receptions for 110 yards. Payton helped Carver's passing attack out by catching 1 ball for 44 yards.
Carver's offense cannot be tamed this season and the Panthers feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Holden has thrown for 1,059 yards and 11 touchdowns this season, while Tevish Clark has 18 catches for 412 yards.
Two of the top units in the league will face off this week when Carver takes on Washington. Darren Myles' team's offense has racked up 215 points this season, earning them the top spot in the league, while the Bulldogs have allowed only 64 on the year.
The Panthers are in third place, while Washington is in first place.
Therrell made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 10,868 from 11,507. The improvement was the result of a 20-6 victory over the Panthers last week.
