Last Saturday, Bradwell Institute was able to grind out a solid win over Brunswick, taking the game 56-49. Given Bradwell Institute's advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 19th, while Brunswick is ranked 69th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Parris Parham continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 25 points and 13 rebounds. That makes it eight consecutive games in which she has scored at least 25% of Bradwell Institute's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jamia Ousley, who scored 13 points.
Meanwhile, after a string of six wins, Griffin's good fortune finally ran out on Wednesday. They took a 55-40 bruising from Union Grove.
Bradwell Institute's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-1. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.7 points per game. As for Griffin, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 6-4.
Bradwell Institute came up short against Griffin in their previous matchup back in December of 2022, falling 49-44. Can Bradwell Institute avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
