The East Chapel Hill Wildcats will head out on the road to take on the Jordan Falcons at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as East Chapel Hill comes in on five and Jordan on seven.
While East Chapel Hill's victory against Northern Durham wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Wildcats narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Knights 9-8. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Wildcats have posted since March 21, 2024.

McKenna White spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and six unearned) runs on seven hits and racked up nine Ks. She has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in five consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Lauren Steiner, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Esha Kamath, who went 1-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base.
Meanwhile, Jordan made easy work of Chapel Hill on Thursday and carried off a 14-4 win. Considering the Falcons have won nine matchups by more than seven runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.
Kylie Specht was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, four runs, and one stolen base. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Jacqueline (JJ) Thornburg, who went 2-for-3 with four RBI, two runs, and one double.
Jordan pushed their record up to 13-2 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.0 runs over those games. As for East Chapel Hill, their record is now 7-5.
Both East Chapel Hill and Jordan just can't seem to miss. The Wildcats have been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 9.2 hits per game. However, it's not like Jordan struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 4.8 hits. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
East Chapel Hill might still be hurting after the 17-7 loss they got from Jordan when the teams last played back in March. Can the Wildcats avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
