Volleyball Recap: Bishop Hartley Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Bishop Hartley entered their tilt with Lancaster on Saturday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Golden Gales. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Hawks also won the last time the pair played back in August of 2024.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Bishop Hartley took both sets by at least 16 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-7, 25-9.

Bishop Hartley can attribute much of their success to Addison DeWitt, who had five aces and two assists. That's the most aces DeWitt has posted since back in October of 2024. Jayden Beatty also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.

They weren't the only good server: Bishop Hartley was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 17 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least six aces every time they've taken the court this season.

Bishop Hartley's win bumped their record up to 5-2. As for Lancaster, their loss dropped their record down to 3-3.

Bishop Hartley wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-1 defeat against St. Francis DeSales on the 3rd. As for Lancaster, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Watkins Memorial on the 30th.
