The Bristol Warriors will head out on the road to take on the New Hope-Solebury Lions at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. New Hope-Solebury took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Bristol, who comes in off a win.
Bristol scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Wednesday. They enjoyed a cozy 80-62 victory over Tacony Academy Charter. The win was just what Bristol needed coming off of a 57-26 defeat in their prior contest.
Bristol's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Kyleal Cottrell led the charge by scoring 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of John Sozio, who scored 15 points.
Meanwhile, New Hope-Solebury's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. They were dealt a 76-21 loss at the hands of Upper Moreland. Having soared to a lofty 59 points in the game before, New Hope-Solebury couldn't push the score so high this time.
Bristol's win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 8-12. As for New Hope-Solebury, they dropped their record down to 3-15 with that defeat, which was their 15th straight on the road dating back to last season.
Bristol suffered a grim 52-31 defeat to New Hope-Solebury in their previous matchup back in December of 2019. Can Bristol avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
