Pendleton Heights is on a nine-game streak of home wins (dating back to last season), while Yorktown is on a four-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Arabians will challenge the Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Pendleton Heights is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They took their game with ease, bagging a 45-0 win over Greenfield-Central. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last five times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

It was another big night for Brandt Gray, who threw for 157 yards and a pair of touchdowns on perfect 9-for-9 passing, and also punched in one TD on the ground. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in passer rating (177.1). Another player making a difference was Joel Weaver, who rushed for 71 yards and one score.
Special teams also deserves some recognition, posting 15 points in total. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Talan Foster, who ran a kickoff back for a touchdown.

Meanwhile, Yorktown got themselves on the board against Beech Grove on Friday, but Beech Grove never followed suit. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Hornets 35-0. The score at the end of the third wound up being the final score as the Tigers just coasted through the last quarter.
Pendleton Heights better keep an eye on Nate Luzadder. He was instrumental in Yorktown's win, rushing for 178 yards and three TDs while picking up 9.9 yards per carry. Luzadder was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 57 yards. Yorktown also got help from Cole Perdue, who showed off his sure hands for 81 receiving yards.
Yorktown's run defense was locked in: Beech Grove could only muster 0.6 yards per carry. The team can thank Cooper Luzadder for the heroic effort on defense: he. Yorktown didn't have any issues in that department, having averaged 7.2.
Yorktown's defense didn't let the opposing QB, get away unscathed either: they got into the backfield for four sacks. Leading the way was Jabin Barnes with three.
Yorktown's victory bumped their record up to 8-2. As for Pendleton Heights, their win bumped their record up to 10-1.
Friday's contest might be decided on the ground. Pendleton Heights has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 198.7 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Yorktown struggles in that department as they've been averaging 168.3 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's matchup turns into a tough fight on the ground.
Pendleton Heights came out on top in a nail-biter against Yorktown when the teams last played back in October, sneaking past 24-22. Do the Arabians have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Tigers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
