Everything went their way against Nease as Valdosta made off with a 47-27 win. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 30-10.
Despite the loss, Nease saw an underclassman step up: Sage Pytel scored 11 points along with 6 rebounds and 5 steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Shruthika Kondabrolu, who scored 4 points along with 3 steals.
Valdosta's win bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Nease, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.
Valdosta will head out on the road to face off against Brooks County at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Nease, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Paxon School For Advanced Studies at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Paxon School For Advanced Studies presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Nease in Florida (Paxon School For Advanced Studies is ranked 49th, while Nease is ranked 133rd).
