The Big Sandy Red Devils pushed their score all the way to 72 on Thursday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 78-72 hit to the loss column at the hands of Waverly Central. Pierpoint continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Seth Green was another key contributor, scoring 13 points.
Big Sandy's loss dropped their record down to 4-13. As for Waverly Central, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 4-18.
Big Sandy won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against McKenzie at 7:15 p.m. on February 9th. McKenzie has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 479 points over their last seven contests. Waverly Central does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
