Meanwhile, Heritage Hills made easy work of Pike Central on Thursday and carried off a 53-30 victory. Given Heritage Hills' advantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 39th, while Pike Central is ranked 356th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Washington's win bumped their record up to 13-3. As for Heritage Hills, their victory bumped their record up to 11-2.
Everything went Washington's way against Heritage Hills when the teams last played back in December of 2022 as Washington made off with a 52-31 win. With Washington ahead 31-8 at the half, the contest was all but over already.
