The Christian Academy of Knoxville Warriors came tearing into Thursday's matchup with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 26 points) and they left with even more momentum. They strolled past Grace Christian Academy with points to spare, taking the game 57-38. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Christian Academy of Knoxville also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2023.
Despite the loss, Grace Christian Academy saw an underclassman step up: Alexis Hammock scored 15 points along with five rebounds. That was a full 39.5% of Grace Christian Academy's points, marking the third time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Christian Academy of Knoxville has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 15 games, which provided a nice bump to their 16-7 record this season. As for Grace Christian Academy, their loss ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 15-8.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Christian Academy of Knoxville will take on the at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Providence Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 25 last Tuesday. As for Grace Christian Academy, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Lions at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Lakeway Christian Academy has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games.
