Basketball Game Preview: Alta Hawks vs. Olympus Titans

The Alta Hawks will head out on the road to square off against the Olympus Titans at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Olympus took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Alta, who comes in off a win.

Alta is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They breezed by Highland to the tune of 73-21 on Tuesday. The team's explosion on offense also rewarded the Hawks with their most commanding win of the season.

Alta's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Quincy Kegel, who posted 17 points. Kegel's evening made it four games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. Alia Baldassano was another key player, putting up 16 points.

Meanwhile, Olympus came up short against Brighton on Tuesday and fell 47-39. The Titans haven't had much luck with the Bengals recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.

Alta will have to contain Joss Baker as she made an impact in Olympus' last game. She dropped a double-double on 19 points and 12 rebounds. That was a full 48.7% of Olympus' points, marking the sixth time in a row she's had more than a third of the team's points. Ava Jorgensen also deserves some recognition as she posted her first block of the season.
