TEACH's's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight loss. They took a serious blow against Rock Church, falling 70-42. TEACH lost against Rock Church in their previous head to head back in February of 2022, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 73-61 score last time.
Despite the defeat, TEACH had strong showings from Trey Mozingo, who scored 12 points along with five rebounds, and Aslan Alkire, who scored 11 points along with seven rebounds and four steals. Those seven rebounds set a new season-high mark for him.
TEACH's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Rock Church, their victory bumped their record up to 6-3.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. TEACH won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Southampton Academy at 2:00 p.m. on December 16th. Southampton Academy is out to stop a five-game streak of losses at home. Rock Church will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on StoneBridge at 6:30 p.m. on January 5, 2024.
