Soldotna put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They walked away with a 28-21 win over the West Valley Wolf Pack. The 28-point effort marked the Stars' lowest-scoring game of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.
Among those leading the charge was Chase Hall, who rushed for 79 yards and one TD.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: Soldotna was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 237 rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as West Valley only rushed for 133 rushing yards.
Several Wolf Pack players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Conner Wright, who threw for 131 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only 11 passes.
Soldotna's victory bumped their record up to 5-0. As for West Valley, their defeat was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-4.
