Cuyahoga Falls and the Rough Riders are an even 5-5 against one another since December of 2014, but not for long. The Cuyahoga Falls Black Tigers will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against the Roosevelt Rough Riders at 7:30 p.m. on February 6th. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Last Friday, Cuyahoga Falls came up short against the Magics and fell 57-49. While losing is never fun, Cuyahoga Falls can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 484th, while the Magics are ranked 93rd).
Meanwhile, Roosevelt pushed their score all the way to 55 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 63-55 hit to the loss column at the hands of Revere.
Jaden Dennison put forth a good effort for the losing side as he scored 13 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ryan Slocum, who scored seven points along with nine rebounds and four blocks.
Cuyahoga Falls' loss dropped their record down to 4-12. As for Roosevelt, they now have a losing record at 8-9.
Everything went Cuyahoga Falls' way against the Rough Riders in their previous matchup back in January as the Black Tigers made off with a 57-31 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Cuyahoga Falls since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
