Make it four blowout wins for the North Central Thunderbirds this season. They blew past Vincennes Rivet, posting a 76-38 win at home. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest win North Central has managed all season.
Leading North Central to victory were Trashaun Cockrell and Ethan Willis. Cockrell dropped a double-double on 21 points and 11 assists, while Willis dropped a double-double on 19 points and 17 rebounds. Cockrell continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Gaven Simmons, who scored six points along with six rebounds and three steals.
North Central now has a winning record of 7-6. As for Vincennes Rivet, their defeat was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 3-9.
North Central and Riverton Parke will face off at 7:30 p.m. on January 19th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. As for Vincennes Rivet, they will head out on the road to challenge Northeast Dubois at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Northeast Dubois focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up seven last Friday.
