Eastside got themselves on the board against Castlewood on Thursday, but Castlewood never followed suit. They were the clear victors by a 13-0 margin over the Blue Devils. The result was nothing new for the Spartans, who have now won six contests by eight runs or more so far this season.

Eastside's victory bumped their record up to 6-4-1. As for Castlewood, with the loss, they broke their five-game winning streak and moved their record to 10-7.

Coming up, Eastside will welcome Lebanon at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Castlewood, they will square off against Rye Cove at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Eagles' pitching crew has only allowed 3.9 runs per game this season, so the Blue Devils' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
