It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the Riverview Sarasota Rams can now relate to. They were the victim of a rough 49-23 defeat at the hands of the Indians on Friday. Riverview Sarasota's defeat signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.
Despite the loss, Riverview Sarasota still got an impressive performance from Dj Johnson, who rushed for 128 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 8.0 yards per carry. Johnson hasn't dropped below two rushing touchdowns for four straight games.
Jadyn Glasser was on fire for Venice: he threw for 350 yards and four touchdowns while completing 85% of his passes, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground. Cj Lewis also deserves a shout-out for his two touchdowns.
Riverview Sarasota's defeat dropped their record down to 8-5. As for Venice, their victory was their tenth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-2.
Riverview Sarasota does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Venice will stay at home for another week and welcome DeLand at 7:30 p.m. on December 1st. DeLand is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
