The Yellow Jackets were the clear victors by a 16-9 margin over the Trojans. Meanwhile, Penns Manor entered their game against West Shamokin on Tuesday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Comets came up short against the Wolves, falling 18-1. The Comets have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Penns Manor saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Sydney Luther, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one run and one double.
Penns Manor's defeat dropped their record down to 6-5. As for Ferndale, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season.
Wednesday's contest might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Ferndale has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .516. However, it's not like Penns Manor struggles in that department as they've averaged .480. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
