Softball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Oak Mountain

Oak Mountain entered their tilt with Homewood on Friday with two consecutive wins , and they'll enter their next game with three. They never let the Homewood Patriots get on the board and left with a 7-0 win. That's more bragging rights for the Eagles, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Brooke Monosky was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one home run and three RBI. Those three RBI gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Sheridan Andrews, who scored three runs while going 2-for-4.

Oak Mountain was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .433. They are a perfect 8-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Oak Mountain's victory bumped their record up to 11-6. As for Homewood, their loss dropped their record down to 8-5-1.

Looking ahead, Oak Mountain will welcome Hewitt-Trussville at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Oak Mountain's pitching crew has only allowed 2.4 runs per game this season, so Hewitt-Trussville's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Homewood, they will square off against John Carroll Catholic at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
