Pioneer extended their losing streak  to three  on Friday, dropping them down to 2-4. They lost  38-14 to the Whittier Cardinals. The Titans lost against the Cardinals in their previous head to head  back in October of 2017, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the  11-10 score last time.
As for Whittier,  the  win made it two in a row for them and  bumps their season record up to 5-1. Their offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most  points they've scored all season.
  Lucas Sanchez had a dynamite game, rushing for 140 yards and one  TD on only eight carries. He really tore up the turf  during one magnificent 80-yard run.  Nathen Gallardo got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.
 Both  teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming  contests. Pioneer will get a bit of extra time to process the  defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Rowland at 7:00  p.m.  on October 10. As for Whittier, they will challenge Santa Fe at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. The  game will  give the Cardinals their first taste of in-conference action this season.
