Stone was the 5-4 winner over Vancleave when they last played one another last Tuesday, but their luck changed this time around. The Tomcats fell 4-1 to the Bulldogs on Friday. The Tomcats' loss signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Stone saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kellan Burge, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.

Stone's defeat dropped their record down to 9-14. As for Vancleave, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-5 record this season.

While Stone had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
