The Klondike Cougars will be defending their home-court for the first time this season they go up against the Midland Classical Academy Knights at 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
Last Saturday, Klondike came up short against Hale Center and fell 53-44. The Cougars have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Meanwhile, Midland Classical Academy put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. They snuck past Sulphur Springs with a 37-31 victory. The 37-point effort marked the Knights' lowest-scoring matchup of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Midland Classical Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Mariah Davis, who earned 21 points along with three steals. Davis' afternoon made it ten games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Addie Dunn, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 11 rebounds.
Klondike now has a losing record at 1-2. As for Midland Classical Academy, their win bumped their record up to 8-0.
