Even though Green Bay N.E.W. Lutheran has not done well against Peshtigo recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. Everything went Green Bay N.E.W. Lutheran's way against Peshtigo as Green Bay N.E.W. Lutheran made off with a 53-31 victory.
Meanwhile, this season hasn't been kind to Hilbert, who are still winless after their ninth contest. They suffered a rough 43-20 loss at the hands of Brillion on Thursday. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Hilbert in their matchups with Brillion: they've now lost five in a row.
Green Bay N.E.W. Lutheran's win bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Hilbert, their loss was their 15th straight at home dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-9.
Green Bay N.E.W. Lutheran lost to Hilbert on the road by a decisive 64-46 margin when the teams last played back in December of 2020. Can Green Bay N.E.W. Lutheran avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
