The West Wendover Wolverines waltzed into Thursday's game with two straight wins but they left with three. They blew past Wells, posting a 53-23 win at home. Considering West Wendover has won three contests by more than 19 points this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.
When it comes to explaining why Wells lost, one person who can't be blamed is Lillian Harney. Despite the final result, she scored 14 points along with 8 rebounds and 3 steals. Harney scored a full 60.9% of Wells' points, the third time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Khloe DelRio, who scored 6 points along with 3 steals.
West Wendover's win bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Wells, their loss dropped their record down to 3-2.
West Wendover will head out on the road to face off against Yerington at 6:00 p.m. on December 15th. Yerington is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. Wells will be staying on the road on Saturday to face off against Intermountain Christian at 11:00 a.m. on December 9th.
