Leading Academy for Innovative Education to victory were Alexa Garofalo and Samantha Ayerdis. Garofalo dropped a double-double on 20 points and 13 rebounds, while Ayerdis dropped a triple-double on 14 points, 16 rebounds, and 13 steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which Ayerdis has scored at least 25% of Academy for Innovative Education's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kylie Garcia, who scored 6 points.
Academy for Innovative Education's victory bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Dade Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 0-1.
