Basketball Recap: Lighthouse Baptist Academy Extends Home Winning Streak to Ten

Lighthouse Baptist Academy had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 20.8 points) and they went ahead and made it five on Friday. They took their contest with ease, bagging a 71-44 victory over the Bayview Christian Seahawks. The matchup was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Eagles had established a 22 point advantage.

Lighthouse Baptist Academy got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Nick Schott out in front who posted 24 points. Schott's afternoon made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Dylan Varney was another key player, putting up 23 points.

Lighthouse Baptist Academy's victory was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 9-1. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 24.2 points. As for Bayview Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-4.

Coincidentally, Lighthouse Baptist Academy and Bayview Christian will both be playing Granite Baptist Academy the next time they take the court. Bayview Christian will host Granite Baptist Academy at 5:15 p.m. on Monday, while Lighthouse Baptist Academy will head out to face them at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
