The Workman Lobos won the last time they faced the Katella Knights, and things went their way on Wednesday too. Workman walked away with a 57-48 victory over Katella. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Workman.
Aaron Hernandez was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 32 points and 16 steals. That makes it eight consecutive games in which he has scored at least 25% of Workman's points. Another player making a difference was Luis Saenz, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 12 rebounds.
Katella's loss came despite strong showings from Joseph Damian and Dillon Curtis. Damian scored 20 points along with 6 rebounds, while Curtis dropped a double-double on 18 points and 11 rebounds. The match was Curtis' fifth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jace Aikins, who scored 8 points along with 5 assists and 5 rebounds.
The win got Workman back to even at 4-4. As for Katella, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-3 record this season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Workman will stay at home for another game and welcome Norwalk at 6:30 p.m. on December 8th. Katella will take on Pacifica at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Pacifica is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road.
